18th-Century Italian Hand-Carved Giltwood Oval Mirrors – A Pair
$4,000.00
An authentic pair of 18th-century Italian oval mirrors, featuring hand-carved wooden frames adorned with a classic molded torus and laurel leaf motif. Each frame houses its original mercury-amalgam glass plate, exhibiting characteristic foxing, soft hazing, and heavy oxidation that highlight its historic authenticity. The reverses feature original hand-planed wooden backing boards sealed with traditional aged canvas strips and handwritten period ink markings.
