DEIDRE'S FINDS

Let's Talk About Mirrors

When I'm shopping in Europe, I always keep my eye out for interesting mirrors.

I use mirrors in every project, whether it's the powder bath, the primary bath, the foyer, living rooms. Really they can be used anywhere. They're a great way to make a space feel larger, reflect an exterior window, and add a lot of interest to a room.

Mirrors are also an area where I really like to add texture and different materials. Glass, metal, wood, mixing it all together to find something truly unique. And I love, love shopping for one-of-a-kind mirrors!

Size and scale

The thing that's fun about shopping for mirrors, and working them into my design projects, is playing with scale.

Sometimes a mirror that's a little bit smaller looks really great in a powder bath. An oversized mirror looks great in a living room, or leaning against a wall in a foyer.

Dress up the Primary Bath

We have several matching sets right now, and I love those for primary bathrooms.

Instead of doing a large sheet of glass, something interesting to do is just do a mirror instead. And why not have it be antique and completely one of a kind!

A few of the sets in our collection:

From Murano to the South of France

I've shopped everywhere from Murano to the South of France, and you can see it in the inventory.

We have Murano glass mirrors. We have brass Italian mid-century mirrors. We have everything from super rustic, wood with chipped plaster, to highly ornate Italian mirrors from the late 18th century.

It's a variety, but it's the mix I think every home should have. High and medium, rustic and refined. I think you'll find that in our collection.

A few more I love:

A few that have already found homes

We've sold a lot of mirrors so far from my trips and my importing. Here are a few of them.
